How to move up

  1. Step 1

Invite friends who’d like to be here

Friends are what move you up. Every member has a personal invite link. A friend counts once they’re a real member: someone you invited with your link who has passed the age check, been approved, added a photo, completed their profile. They count straight away, and stop counting if they leave, are suspended or haven’t been active for 30 days. You see how many, never who. It takes 1 friend to reach Member, 3 for Trusted and 10 for Champion.

  2. Step 2

    Add a photo

Upload a clear photo of you. Once a person on our team has approved it, it counts, whether it’s public or private.

  3. Step 3

    Complete your profile

A complete profile has a headline, an “about you” of at least 40 characters, “what I’m looking for” of at least 20, your location and at least one relationship goal.

  4. Step 4

    Start conversations and match

A conversation is a chat where you and the other person have both written in the last 60 days, or a match. It counts once per person, and it doesn’t matter who started it. You don’t need to wait for messages: start conversations yourself and they count once the other person writes back, and every match counts too.

Once you’re a member, your level, your progress and your personal invite link are under More in the app.

How it’s counted

An approved photo
is any photo a person on our team has approved. It can be public or private, so you’re never held back for keeping your photos to yourself.
A complete profile
has a headline, an “about you” of at least 40 characters, “what I’m looking for” of at least 20, your location and at least one relationship goal.
A conversation
is a chat where you and the other person have both written in the last 60 days, or a match. It counts once per person, and it doesn’t matter who started it.
A good response record
means if people write to you first, you answer at least half of them. This only matters once three people have written to you, so you’re never marked down for messages you didn’t get.
A match
is two members who have both liked each other. Messaging a match never uses up your daily new conversations.
A real member (an invited friend who counts)
is someone you invited with your link who has passed the age check, been approved, added a photo, completed their profile. They count straight away, and stop counting if they leave, are suspended or haven’t been active for 30 days.

Questions, answered plainly

Is replying ever limited?

No. Replying to someone who has messaged you is always unlimited, at every level. So is messaging a match. The limit only applies to starting brand-new conversations with people you haven’t matched with.

What’s a match?

A match is two members who have both liked each other. Messaging a match never uses up your daily new conversations. Liking someone is a low-pressure way to say hello: if they like you back, you both see it, you can message each other freely, and the conversation doesn’t use up your daily limit.

What if nobody messages me?

You don’t need to receive messages to move up. Conversations count whoever starts them, as soon as both of you have written. Start a few each day (you get more in your first week) and like people you’d like to meet, because a match counts too. Inviting friends is what lifts your level: 1 friend for Member, 3 for Trusted, 10 for Champion, who get the most.

What’s the response record?

It only applies to Trusted and Champion. If people write to you first, you answer at least half of them. This only matters once three people have written to you, so you’re never marked down for messages you didn’t get.

Why are the limits lower when you start?

It keeps conversations genuine. Members who add a photo, fill in their profile and have real conversations make the community better for everyone, so they get more room.

Do I have to show a photo publicly?

No. A private photo counts towards your level just like a public one. Private photos aren’t shown on your profile or in search; you choose which members can see them. Our team still reviews every photo before it’s approved.

What happens in my first week?

Your first week after you go live counts as Member, so nobody is held back while they set up.

Can I go down a level?

Yes, if the things that earned your level stop being true, for example if you stop having conversations for a long time. An upheld report about you holds you at Member for 90 days.

Do I have to pay?

No. Everything on this page is earned, not bought. We may add paid options later, and we’ll tell members first. The levels you’ve earned will still count.

What about invites?

Share your link only with people who’d genuinely like to join. Don’t pay, pressure or push anyone, and don’t invite people who have asked you not to. We can remove a level gained through fake or duplicate accounts or invites that break our Terms.
